Knupfer International Gems (KIG) is a 2nd generation supplier of fine precious and semi precious gemstones with over 40 years of experience in purchasing and providing gemstones and services to the trade.

KIG is a member of the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA), The International Colored Stone Association (ICA), New York Gem dealers Association (NYGA), The Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT), American Gem Society (AGS), and Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA). (BSM) is wholly owned and operated by Knupfer International Gems Inc. (KIG), an accredited member of AGTA, AGS, ICA, NYGA and JBT.

BSM requires Vendors to have a U.S. registered firm, and be affiliated with a trade organization such as the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA), The International Colored Stone Association (ICA) the New York Gem dealers Association (NYGA).

Using (BSM) is free.

Clients must agree to Terms and Conditions.

Stones entering and leaving BSM will be entered into our database and photographed. We will note any nicks, scratches or naturals on the stone. This is to protect both you and the retailer. Any problems would be noted on the day the retailer receives the package.
BSM will notify you by phone or email when your stone is sold.

You can view requests in the "View Requests" tab while logged in to BuySellMemo.

BSM will only send out emails for stone requests tailored to your preferences.

We know that no dealer stocks every type, shape, size and quality of gemstone in stock. We also understand that no dealer can work with every sale or request in the marketplace. This is where BSM can help you.

When there is a “call” in the market, and there are multiple dealers searching to complete the order or locate the required stone, as dealers, we see first-hand how the price increases, as each dealer and broker add their own layer of commission before the product(s) arrives to the retailer, this reduces the possibility of your stone being sold to the consumer. BSM wants you, to be first in viewing and fulfilling the order, this way, if you own the stone, you sell directly to the store.

BSM provides comprehensive support to retailers, providing education on gem types, qualities, origins, treatments, and price points, to better identify and qualify their customers, resulting in higher closing and selling ratios helping turnover your inventory.

By using BSM we also reduce the common problems of memo transactions. Such as but not limited to; damaged stones, switched stones, unqualified customers, delayed due dates, inefficient collection of funds and restocking returned items.

If a stone is returned damaged, the retailer which it was sent to is ultimately responsible for the stone. BSM will attempt to represent and work with both you and the retailer as best as possible, given each unique circumstance.

We will offer the option of lapidary services in order to repair the stone. In addition, BSM will reimburse you any lost weight of the stone. But it is ultimately up to the discretion of the owner to accept or refuse this option.

BSM uses G4S International, which is an insured shipping solution service that uses FEDEX, UPS and DHL as their carriers.

Vendors outside of New York shipping policy: Vendor will cover shipping cost for 2 day shipments. Next day shipping charge is $25. If item is sold, next day shipping cost is reimbursed. This ensures shipping cost is shared by both parties.
